Permissive Parenting

Were you at ease when you’d spend more than expected time outdoors chilling with your friends? Never afraid that your mom might call and have a good go at you? These are signs of permissive parenting. Imagine your father being enthusiastic to meet your friends, and when he does meet, he acts as if they’re his friends as well. Or when your mom got excited when you told her about your first crush, and keeps on insisting to know more about your love life. This type of parent’s prioritizes being the child’s friend before a parent. With these kinds of parents there isn’t much debate or argument between the two and it might seem that things are going smoothly. But even though a child needs his/her parents to be their friends so that they’re comfortable sharing things with them, so that there’s a good understanding between the two.

But it is also necessary for the child to have a certain set of rules, a few certain guidelines to follow, so that not only will they be able to be something of their own, but it also necessary for them to understand what they like and dislike, who and what are they? Rules and restrictions are necessary for everyone to know, what can they become with and without them. It is also necessary to know a certain discipline, a certain way to behave properly for a person to, at least initially gel within the society. Later the decision of weather to abide with it or not stays with kid, but start with initially one shout at least have a tentative path, which is what rules and regulations provide.
